I want to paint EVERYTHING!
I set myself a challenge to complete three small projects in one day
using Miss Mustard Seed's Milk Paint.
I honestly didn't think it would happen, but it did & what a GREAT result!
Check them out:
Project 1 — the Ceramic Pot
I knew with a little love, it would come up gorgeously.
I opted for Miss Mustard Seed's Milk Paint in Typewriter.
Two quick coats with a wait time of about 30 minutes in
between while I worked on my other DIYs!
After the second coat of paint I waited about an hour for the planter
to dry thoroughly before brushing on Miss Mustard Seed's Furniture Wax.
This was followed by a very light coat of White Wax to highlight
all the lovely detailing.
Voila! Project number one complete!
Project 2 — The Floor Lamp
With a too small, dated shade and a base of an ordinary metal,
I already had the perfect lamp shade waiting
for the long-overdue transformation!
this beauty was painted with
Miss Mustard Seed's Milk Paint in Boxwood with Bonding Agent.
Two coats of Boxwood, followed by a coat of Furniture Wax then
Miss Mustard Seed's Antique Wax to give her a lovely aged patina.
I wish I could get a better photo — she's simply gorgeous!
Project THREE — The Doormat
Jump over to the blog post HERE to get the instructions.
This is an inexpensive $1.99 coir doormat from Ikea.
I painted stripes on it with Miss Mustard Seed's Milk Paint in Tricycle.
It was super fast, maybe 15-20 minute job from start to finish & I
honestly was shocked at how great it turned out!
I will definitely be making more of these to come,
I'm thinking monograms and chevron!
Confession...I think it was the most fun of the three projects!
As always, comments and questions are always appreciated.
